Shaw recorded a collection of Jörg Achim Keller arranged classics from the Hal David / Burt Bacharach songbook in March 2007 following sell-out performances with this show the previous year. He returned to Germany last summer and, under the musical guest directorship of friend and collaborator, Guy Barker, performed the show again as well as the bigband arrangements of songs from “Lifejacket” specially arranged by Barker.

Liane invited Ian to accompany her on the Rodgers & Hammerstein composition “If I Loved You” for her highly acclaimed album “Slow Down” (Splash Point Records).
Shaw and Carroll (double award winner at the BBC Jazz Awards in 2005) recorded the Carole King classic, “You've Got a Friend” on Liane's previous album; “Standard Issue” on Splash Point.
Shaw can be heard duetting on an original composition on Judith Owen's new album (Linn Records) which also features contributions from Cassandra Wilson and Richard Thompson.

As well as Shaw's continuing duet shows with his close friend, Linn recording artist, Claire Martin, Shaw has teamed up with the wondrous Clare Teal for an irreverent romp through popular classics, interlaced with comedy and anecdotes. “A New York Trilogy” (Arlen, Lou Reed and Carole King) features Shaw with celebrated cabaret and blues singer, Barb Jungr.

Ian and L.A. based pop and blues singer-songwriter Marcy Detroit (Eric Clapton, Shakespearrsquo;s Sister) have not only done four sell-out shows at Pizza Express Dean Street celebrating Billie Holliday but are collaborating on an exciting new recording project featuring Marcella's original songs.

Ian has produced two beautiful new tracks for the Brit-nominated pop sensation: a haunting re-working of Kate Bush's “The Man with the Child in His Eyes” and the powerful theme tune from Baghdad Cafe, “Calling You”. These tracks were recorded at The Cowshed Studio, London (The Cowshed). They are available on Charlotte Church’s CD singles, “Call My Name” and “Mood Swings” on Sony BMG (Sony Music). A British film, now available on DVD
Directed by Adrian Shergold, Ian played “Percy” alongside Timothy Spall, Juliet Stevenson and Eddie Marsan in “Pierrepoint” (Granada Films, US title: “The Last Hangman”). It premiered at the Toronto film festival in September 2005. “You're a very good pal of mine”, an original Shaw composition, is featured in the film.
